NEWS - HIDEOUS Debut EP "Hideous"
One evening at a café was all it took for Hideous to come into existence. And one song was all it took for the band to play Rock Werchter in 2023. Soon they are releasing their self-titled debut EP on February 16th.
Hideous is the brand-new blended family of Guillaume Lamont (RHEA) and Tim Leyman (Ramkot), strengthened by Dajo Vlaeminckx (RHEA, Kids with Buns), and Victor Defoort (Roméo Elvis, Oscar and the Wolf). These four have already earned their stripes with the mentioned projects, but they decided to join forces for this new project called Hideous. The band delivers rock music inspired by the raw and gritty sound of the '90s. Straightforward and without overthinking, yet with an emphasis on floating melodies. On February 16th, they will release their self-titled debut EP, which they will present on March 14 at Kunstencentrum VIERNULVIER in Ghent. From that EP, we already know “Curse”, “Follow Me”, “The Rut” and “Hideous” which have received airplay on stations such as Studio Brussel, Willy, 3FM, and Kink.
Hideous has been actively performing in various locations, including Flanders, the Netherlands, and beyond. Their gig roster includes notable venues like Paris, Maassilo Rotterdam, and Effenaar Eindhoven. Opening for Black Box Revelation at a sold-out Ancienne Belgique is a significant achievement, indicating their growing popularity and recognition in the music scene.
