THE HENGLES are a pop group from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. THE HENGLES started as a 100% cover band, specializing in jingle-jangle music (The Byrds, Big Star, Badfinger e.g.) with their self-released debut EP No Matter What to proof. They also performed as a backing-band for Dutch singer-songwriter Julia P. After signing to Dutch digital label TCBYML, THE HENGLES made the transition to recording self-penned music only, something the individual THE HENGLES had been doing in their previous bands anyway. Influenced by more than 60 years of British and American pop music, THE HENGLES manage to blend this into their own style and give proof of their skill in writing and recording melodic, catchy pop songs with a twist.
