Dirty Sound Magnet have released the videoclip for Melodies from Distant Shores, taken from their latest album Dreaming in Dystopia, released on 20 October 2023. In keeping with the band's musical philosophy, it represents a real contrast with their previous album DSM-III (2022, Hummus Records). 
Savagery gives way to gentleness, and a multicoloured, shimmering and profound universe opens up. This is the band's most expansive and audacious album, but also their most personal and sensitive. 

In Melodies from Distant Shores, we find ourselves transported to a verdant, poetic and mystical nature. Stavros (guitar, vocals) quotes the Gottérron Valley in Fribourg as a source of inspiration for the visual and aural ambience of the track. He uses the world of old Fribourg legends to speak subtly of his own past. The musical freedom they've given themselves has allowed them to expand their creative channels to explore the DNA of their hearts and minds even more deeply... Make no mistake, this is the best music Dirty Sound Magnet have written to date. It's music that lends itself to intense reflection and deep introspection, inviting its audience to search deep within themselves, just as its authors have done.
