Our sophomore album, Crop Circles, is born from an unusual balance: trying to write music that reflects on trite Alberta stereotypes: ranchers, cowboys, lumberjacks, while also hypothesizing about something foreign and otherworldly. 

Our home province of Alberta has a long history of folk festivals and singer-songwriters. 

While that might be a musical starting place and an important memory for us, it's not an aspiration or ultimate goal. 

The challenge is to be true to where you've come from without stopping yourself from dreaming wild dreams.

This record is more danceable than our debut, with strong hooks and electronic instrumentation that combine with pedal steel guitar to form a meeting place of the cosmic and rural.
