My song, "Heathen," was inspired by falling in love with a guy who didn't value my time at all. He consistently critiqued everything I said and made me feel really bad about myself. I used to give everything to him, and I eventually lost who I was. Despite all of this, I was head over heels for him and would continue to devalue myself to heighten his ego.
